Position: RN PCU Location: Lexington, KY Pay: $47 per hour Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (3×12 hour shifts) Contract Length: 14 weeks Job Overview We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Lexington, KY. This is an acute, fast-paced unit, specializing in Trauma and Gastrointestinal (GI) post-operative patients. Candidates must have experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center and be comfortable managing complex surgical patients. Job Requirements -Active RN License (KY or Compact State) -BLS & ACLS Certification (Required) -Level 1 Trauma Experience (Required) – Will consider first-time travelers with Level 1 experience -Trauma & General Surgery Post-Op Experience (Required) -Experience with Abdominal Surgeries (Required) -Epic EMR Experience (Required) Technical Skills Required: -Proficiency in handling Foley catheters, surgical drains, and wound vacs -Experience with surgical oncology, ostomy care, ports, and PICC lines -Competency in managing TPN and lipid administration -Strong knowledge of progressive care monitoring and telemetry Job Responsibilities As a Registered Nurse in PCU, you will: -Continuously evaluate and monitor patients for recovery progress or signs of deterioration -Perform dressing changes, IV insertions, and catheter placements -Prepare and maintain medical equipment and emergency supplies -Administer medications according to physician orders and nursing protocols -Provide accurate patient reports to care teams, families, and medical decision-makers -Assist physicians with bedside procedures and trauma patient care About Crown Staffing Crown Staffing is a premier staffing and recruiting company that connects top talent with leading employers nationwide.
