Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Surgical Technologist Job Description Location: Lexington, KY Position Type: 14-Week Contract Pay Rate: $45 per hour Shift: Day Shift – 4×10-Hour Shifts (06:30 AM – 4:30 PM) About the CVOR Surgical Technologist Role Crown Staffing is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Surgical Technologist to join a surgical team in Lexington, KY, for a 14-week contract assignment. This position plays a critical role in supporting surgical teams by ensuring a sterile environment, preparing instruments, and assisting in complex cardiovascular procedures, including heart and lung transplants and trauma cases. Key Responsibilities -Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields for cardiovascular procedures, ensuring all instruments and supplies are properly sterilized. -Assist surgeons and medical teams in high-acuity cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries, including heart and lung transplants. -Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond efficiently during procedures. -Operate and manage surgical equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety. -Handle and manage specimens for laboratory analysis while maintaining strict sterile protocols. -Ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory safety standards, including infection control procedures. -Work efficiently in Level 2 hospital settings (required) and demonstrate adaptability to Level 1 trauma centers (preferred). -Participate in emergency trauma cases, responding quickly to critical situations in the Operating Room (OR). CVOR Surgical Technologist Requirements Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a CVOR Surgical Technologist. Specialty Experience: -Experience assisting in heart and lung transplant procedures (required). -Prior exposure to trauma cases (required). -Level 2 hospital experience (required). -Level 1 hospital experience (preferred). -Certifications Required: -Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
