Job Title: Environmental Specialist Location: Eminence, KY Pay: $60,000 – $80,000/year Schedule: Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Position Type: Full-Time About the Environmental Specialist Role Crown Staffing is seeking an experienced Environmental Specialist to oversee compliance with environmental regulations and maintain efficient waste management systems. This role ensures the facility operates in accordance with Company, State, and Federal standards, promoting environmental sustainability and safety. Key Responsibilities Wastewater Treatment Management: Operate and maintain the facility’s wastewater treatment system. Calibrate control instruments and procure treatment chemicals. Dispose of residual sludge and manage performance sampling with external laboratories. Prepare and submit discharge monitoring and regulatory reports. Schedule system maintenance and ensure operational efficiency. Waste Management: Oversee the disposal of universal, hazardous, and non-hazardous waste. Schedule waste removal, maintain records, and generate regulatory reports. Explore alternatives for waste minimization, pollution prevention, and recycling. Facility Oversight: Conduct weekly inspections, document findings, and coordinate clean-up/remediation. Train employees on waste handling, chemical hazards, and pollution prevention practices. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Studies, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related field. At least 3 years of experience as an Environmental Specialist in a heavy manufacturing environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and excellent computer skills. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
