This role focuses on delivering high-quality oral care, patient education, and assisting with dental procedures to support overall patient health. Key Responsibilities -Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth. -Take and develop medical imaging as needed for accurate diagnostics. -Maintain patient records following HIPAA regulations and confidentiality protocols. -Assist the dentist during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and efficient workflow. -Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, nutritional counseling, and preventative care. -Implement infection control protocols to maintain a sterile and safe environment. -Utilize dental software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft) for scheduling, billing, and records management. -Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene and participate in continuing education opportunities. Qualifications -Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. -Strong knowledge of oral anatomy, dental procedures, and hygiene best practices. -Experience working in a dental clinic or office setting preferred. -Familiarity with medical records management and infection control standards. -Proficiency in using dental imaging equipment and dental software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus. -Excellent communication and patient education skills. -Strong attention to detail, organization, and teamwork.
