Our client is a leading manufacturer of strap, stretch, and protective packaging consumables, tools and equipment company in Gary, IN Shift Hours are 2:45pm-1am Mon-Fri. with some OT – Trail to hire opportunities Pay will start at 22/hour. Machine operator works in a team environment to set-up and operate the panel line, with responsibility for all aspects of quality, waste, and efficiency of the panel line. Duties: Will involve set up of the panel line according to customer specifications, load paper stock onto panel line machine, thread paper into machine, adjust slitter blades to specification, set cut off saw to correct length, sharpen blades as needed, assist in other areas of the plant as needed

Experience: Ability to read a tape measure and caliper – At least 2 years of experience operating machines/ and setting up equipment. -Ability to operate a forklift -Ability to read and interpret design orders/blue prints -Ability to proceed with job screenings
