Tool and Die Machinist DETAILS Days Worked: Monday to Friday 6:00 am -2:30 pm Pay: $18.00 -$19.00 depending on experience Location: Lexington, KY Responsibilities Read and interpret measuring devices, such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers. Maintain and organize department tools and workspace. Operate machinery, including surface grinders, milling machines, radial drills, and lathes. Monitor stock levels of punches, buttons, and tooling materials; place orders as needed. Sharpen and repair dies as required. Advise supervisors or the plant manager when dies need replacement. Coordinate with vendors for external die repairs, new dies, or tooling orders. Drive company pick-up truck (valid driver’s license required). Maintain and report issues with maintenance equipment. Create prototypes and samples as needed.

– Ability to read work orders, tape measures, gauges, and drawings. – Capable of performing periodic quality checks. – Experience in machine operation, including brake presses, punch presses, and saws. – Ability to perform roll-form set-ups and changeovers as needed. – Must follow safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures. – Forklift driving experience.
