Estimator Job Details Location: Lexington, KY Days Worked: Monday to Friday Pay: $18.00 – $24.00 per hour, based on experience About the Estimator Role The Estimator will use a team-based approach to create detailed cost estimates for projects involving the construction and maintenance of overhead and garage doors. This role is essential in coordinating with clients, vendors, and team members to prepare accurate estimates that support project planning and scheduling. Estimator Responsibilities and Duties Consult with clients, vendors, team members, and coworkers to discuss and create cost estimates and resolve any arising issues. Collaborate with contractors, owners, architects, and subcontractors to address changes and adjustments in cost estimates. Develop and manage estimates for purposes of planning, organizing, and scheduling project work. Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed estimates of time, cost, materials, and labor requirements. Prepare estimates for vendor or subcontractor selection processes. Utilize estimating software to input and organize data for clear cost understanding and organization. Review data to establish cost standards or identify potential cost reduction. Maintain organized records to ensure accuracy and quality. Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
