Description for production packer: Unpack customer parts and save the packing material, verify serial numbers and quantity, complete paperwork and turn into planning. Once part is completed, packer would help repack the parts back into the customers packaging to ship back to customer. Parts are mostly 45 lb parts so being physically able to lift that weight for an 8 hour work day is very important Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities): The primary duties consist of, but are not limited to the following. This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customer’s inventory and as such will perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage. Follow all written instructions where provided, pack completed parts for shipping and unpack parts for processing Continuously perform visual inspection of parts for damages or issues that must be addressed before shipping to customer Record and sign off on all applicable process steps defined in the job folder for each shipping operation Efficiently use Vantage or related business systems to perform function Locate all shipping containers and make appropriate and safe use of shipping and receiving materials and equipment. Observe all Environmental, Health and Safety Policy requirements: Using floor jacks Using hoist Keeping work area neat and orderly at all times Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Assist production when asked to prepare parts or do post processing work. Follow all instructions in technical plan Perform Grit Blast operation as directed Take and record all measurements
