Wood Mill Lead DETAILS Hours: Monday – Thursday 5:00 pm to 5:00 am, and Friday 2:00 pm to 2:00 am Location: Saint Louis, MO About the Wood Mill Lead role – Lead and supervise the milling team, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards. – Set up, operate, and monitor milling equipment, ensuring optimal machine performance. – Train and mentor mill operators on equipment use, safety procedures, and best practices. – Collaborate with supervisors and management to adjust production processes and schedules as needed. – Conduct routine inspections of machines and finished products to ensure quality control. – Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or process issues, working with the maintenance team when necessary. – Ensure all employees follow safety protocols and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE). – Maintain accurate records of production, machine maintenance, and downtime. – Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

– Proven experience as a Mill Lead, Mill Operator, or in a similar manufacturing role. – In-depth knowledge of milling equipment, tools, and processes. (e.g. Panel Saw, Edge Bander, CNC Routers, Dowel Machine, Table saw, Shapers, Jointers, Planers, Wide belt sander, Cold press panel processes, etc.) – Strong leadership and team management skills. – Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and production schedules. – Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. – Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. – Ability to work well in a fast-paced, industrial environment. – Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials.
