Block Laborer Job Details Location: Brownsburg, IN Schedule: 1st Shift | Project Dates: May 19 – July 30 Position Type: Temporary (Project-Based) Pay: $18-20/hour About the Block Laborer Role Crown Staffing is seeking motivated Block Laborers for a short-term construction project in Indianapolis, IN. This position supports masonry crews by ensuring materials are stocked and readily available throughout the day. The ideal candidate is dependable, works well in a team, and is comfortable working in a physically demanding outdoor environment. Routine Duties -Mix mortar and grout by hand or with machinery according to standard formulas -Erect scaffolding as needed -Cut materials to size using power saws -Modify material handling and prep procedures as necessary -Assist in preparation, installation, and repair of block, brick, or stone surfaces -Locate, prepare, and deliver materials in correct order to Masons -Arrange and store tools, materials, and equipment -Clean surfaces, tools, work sites, and storage areas -Move heavy materials with hoists or dollies -Remove excess grout or residue from joints -Demo damaged materials and prep surfaces using hand tools -Follow instructions, ask questions, and proactively assist as needed -Perform other duties as assigned Requirements -Previous experience on a construction or masonry site preferred -Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions -Strong work ethic and willingness to learn -Must be able to follow instructions and work as part of a team -Reliable transportation to and from the job site -High school diploma or GED preferred but not required -Familiarity with masonry tools and materials is a plus -Ability to work the full duration of the project from May 19 to July 30 About Crown Staffing Crown Staffing is a staffing and recruiting company that unites character-driven people and companies to build rewarding careers and strong organizations.
