Part-Time Medical Assistant Job Details Location: Louisville, KY Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday | 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM Pay: $20.00 per hour Type: Part-Time | On-Site | Temp with Intent to Hire About the Medical Assistant Role Crown Staffing is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Medical Assistant to join a primary care clinic serving residents, employees, and the local community. This role involves direct patient care and clinical support for providers in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. Responsibilities -Assist providers with direct patient care in a primary care setting -Perform phlebotomy, obtain vitals, and reconcile medications -Check in patients and gather medical history and social/family background -Expedite patient flow and room patients efficiently -Support medication management including prior authorizations and refill requests -Schedule appointments, tests, and follow-ups -Perform EKGs, injections, and in-office testing (COVID, flu, RSV, strep, glucose, urinalysis, etc.) -Communicate with pharmacies, insurance companies, and patients professionally -Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in EMR systems -Ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance at all times -Provide professional phone support and follow-up care -Other clinical and administrative duties as assigned Requirements -High school diploma or GED required -Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist (primary care setting preferred) -Phlebotomy certification or Certified MA (NHA) preferred -Basic Life Support (BLS) certification a plus -Familiarity with EMR systems and insurance verification -Strong computer, communication, and organizational skills -Ability to work independently, multitask, and adapt in a clinical environment -Professional demeanor and commitment to patient care About Crown Staffing Crown Staffing is a staffing and recruiting company that unites character-driven people and companies to build rewarding careers and strong organizations.
