As the Production Lead, your responsibilities will include: Responsible for overseeing and participating in the daily production of sheet metal HVAC ductwork. This role ensures efficient operations on the shop floor by managing workflow, supporting a team of fabricators, maintaining quality and safety standards, and actively participating in fabrication tasks. ? Lead by example and assist in the fabrication, assembly of sheet metal ductwork, including square, round, and specialty fittings. ? Read and interpreted blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications to guide ductwork fabrication processes. ? Organize and delegate tasks to team members to ensure daily production targets and deadlines are met. ? Ensure proper use of equipment. ? Monitor product quality and ensure standards, customer specifications, and shop standards are met. ? Train and support team members on proper fabrication techniques, safety procedures, and efficient workflow practices. ? Act as a liaison between workers and supervisors/management to communicate production issues or safety concerns. ? Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, enforcing all PPE and safety requirements. ? Assist with inventory control, material staging, and work order tracking. ? Drive continuous improvement by identifying workflow inefficiencies and suggesting process enhancements. At least two years of supervisory skills in managing manufacturing production.
