Job Title: Tooling Technician Schedule: 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday Pay range: $18.00 – $22.00 Hourly Location: Bartlett, IL Our client is a leading supplier to the automotive electronics and appliance industries. They have a direct hire Tooling Technician position for their Bartlett, IL location. The Responsibilities of a Tooling Technician will include: – Operate various machines including milling , lathe, micro welding and grinder machines. – Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to ensure accuracy. – Perform electrical discharge machining (EDM) as needed for tool creation. – Conduct routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance. – Collaborate with engineers and production staff to troubleshoot issues related to tooling. – Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.

The Qualifications of the Tooling Technician role are: – Proficiency in plastics injection molding processes. – Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in tool making. – Ability to operate various equipment for tool repairs or modifications. – Knowledge of GD&T standards for precision manufacturing. – Competence in using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers and calipers. – Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. – Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within the team.
