Maintenance Technician Supervisor
Location: Louisville, KY
Schedule: 2nd Shift | 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Pay Rate: $36/hour
Position Type: Full-Time
Job Summary:
Crown Staffing is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician Supervisor in Louisville, KY. This role will lead and oversee the maintenance team, ensuring the proper setup, troubleshooting, and efficiency of all production equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PLC programming, electrical systems, preventive maintenance, and team leadership within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Supervision:
Lead, train, and develop a team of maintenance personnel to maximize equipment uptime and production efficiency.
Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure all maintenance activities meet company standards.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and accountability.
Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective action plans.
Troubleshoot and program PLC systems (Modicon, Allen-Bradley, or Siemens).
Interpret electrical schematics and troubleshoot wiring circuits.
Work with 24V, 115V, 277V, and 480V 3-phase electrical systems, including electrical distribution, bus, and switchgear equipment.
Preventive Maintenance & Safety Compliance:
Develop, schedule, and oversee preventive maintenance programs for production equipment.
Ensure all maintenance processes comply with OSHA regulations, including machine guarding, lockout/tag-out, and PPE policies.
Maintain a safe work environment and implement best practices for facility upkeep.
Project Management & Process Improvement:
Oversee capital projects for equipment upgrades and manufacturing process enhancements.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to align maintenance strategies with business goals.
Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles to improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
Experience: 5-8 years of maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance and electrical/mechanical troubleshooting.
Expertise in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
Experience with lean management and continuous improvement strategies.
Software Proficiency: Windows applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and material planning software.
Communication & Leadership: Strong ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate across departments.
