Job Title: Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Pay Rate: $50 per hour Location: Lexington, KY Shift: Night Shift (3×12-Hour: 19:00 – 07:00) Contract Length: 13 Weeks Schedule: 3-4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday night required) Start Date: 05/05/2025 Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Neuro ICU Registered Nurse to join our team for a 13-week contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care, specifically in the management of neurological patients. This position requires advanced clinical skills, critical thinking, and a proactive approach to patient care in a fast-paced intensive care setting. Responsibilities: Airway management Management of vented patients Artline management (Preferred for ER) Management of dysrhythmias Central line management Management of IV drips Isolation precautions Triage skills (ER/ER Holding only) Computerized documentation Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1-2+ NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) administration Interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmias Continuous IV sedation Titration of IV vasopressors Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure Requirements: Minimum 1.5+ years of recent Neuro ICU experience (2 years preferred; must be reflected in job history) Must be available for night shift (19:00 – 07:00), 3×12-hour shifts per week 3-4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday night required) Must be willing to float to different units as needed EPIC charting experience required Certifications required: NIHSS, ACLS, BLS 2 professional references required
