Our client is A manufacturer and distributor of heavy equipment parts. This position as a packer is responsible for performing the tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment in Hobart Indiana Shift hours 8am-5pm Pay rate is at 16.00/hr Duties: Essential Functions: Position Summary: This position is responsible for performing the tasks involved in preparing materials for shipping by weighing, packing. Essential Functions: – Verify products and quantity of items delivered by order pickers to packing slips by physically verifying part numbers, quantity of each item(s), measurement or description, etc. – Report defective materials, inaccurate quantity or wrong part to the Depot Supervisor. – Have all packing materials ready and available prior to pre-packing and staging of an order. – Ensure that products are packed correctly using banding and shrink-wrap so that shipment arrives to destination intact with no damages/shortages. – Is punctual and consistently available for work.? Perform the cleaning and maintenance duties. – Work in a safe manner, follow all safety rules and report any potential safety hazards to management. – Perform other general warehouse duties and responsibilities as required.
