Our client is a multi-client 3rd party warehousing associated services. They are looking for a Cross dock Forklift Operator for their facility in Hammond, IN Job Title-Cross dock Forklift Operator Shift hours -This is a trial-to-hire opportunity. 1st Shift 5:30am- 2pm (include if overtime possible and/or mandatory) Payrate-Pay will be based on experience $17-19/hr Location: Hammond, IN Primary internal Crown contact: Lydia/Crystal Hiring process requirements (Choose one of the following): -Interview required – requires a resume submitted Special Instructions: Will need to complete a forklift test during interview What you will do: -Open facility and customer cross dock at the required daily times. – Check temperatures and to temperature recording device downloads, complete daily manual temperature logs. -Verify driver ID and paperwork, verify seals on all inbound trucks before doors are opened. -Perform downloads of temperature recording devices prior to unloading inbound trucks, report variances immediately and wait for resolution. – Inspect the truck’s note and photograph any damage or issues. Unload, count, and verify pallet counts for each truck prior to -signing off on driver documents. Scan and bar code inbound materials as required. -Stage freight in the appropriate staging lanes for the outbound trucks to load. Assist as needed with the outbound loading process. -Upon completion of the inbound/outbound process count and verify all held freight, secure it and lock/alarm the cage. -Email the inbound truck temperature downloads to customer dispatch, complete daily cross dock report.
