About the Registered Nurse role -Administer medication and treatment, while supervising LPNs in executing physicians’ orders and proper nursing procedures. -Investigate and report on unusual incidents involving resident care, and report residents’ abnormal physical and mental reactions to the physician. -Interact with residents and families to explain treatment. -Conduct formalized training sessions for professional and non-professional personnel, attend in-service training programs, and participate in drills for and respond to facility emergencies. -Take appropriate action if abuse or neglect (by staff, visitors, family, or peers) occurs, including protecting and supporting the resident, and reporting/documenting the incident.
